21. Runs super cool, we are using the best in the market components to design the power stage, and the XRV has the biggest heat sink we ever shipped, it will never over heat.

22. Motor is likely to run hotter if ridden in continued hill climb or race, to battle this you can add 80ml of ATF fluid into your hub.

23.We dont recomand using statorade, because statorade is basically nano treated Fe3O4 particles suspended in C3H8O, the fluid is most likely to evaporate overtime and leaving some oxidized Iron in the hub, might be dangerous for hall sensors, and sometimes the solvent will melt the epoxy that holds your magnet to the hub, which is also nightmare to repair.

After testing the ATF fluid in hub we find it to be most safe, and hugely effective, the motor without ATF oil filled inside will rise to 97°C in 3 minute of FOC_openloop 50 50 test. the motor that filled the ATF fluid only reaches 65°C after 10 minute of foc_openloop test and overheats the ESC instead. If you only rides in city and your motor never hotter than 65°C you do not have to worry about motor over heat issues. if your motor gets over 65° C easily just from daily rides, just open up the side cover of your hub and add some $5 ATF fluid inside your hub and you are good to go, there might be some spill out from the bearing if your board is tipped over to the sides,  you just need to wipe it clean from time to time. ATF fluids are very safe for electronics, becasue it is proven to run in cars transmissions that have the whole TCU computer and harness soaked in the ATF fluid, also it is tested by us to confirm it will be compatible with epoxy inside the hub.

 

 

 

Q&A

Does it affect my battery range?

- The XRV enables you to ride much more aggresively, however, if you test the crusing range, the change in range is barely noticeable.

   Actually the XRV uses a more efficient power stage than stock(lower Rdson, less heat), under  the same riding style, the range will not be affected.

 

Does it affect my battery life?

- The XRV's power draw is within the limitation of the battery pack's performance. And the battery pack will work in very comfortable range in most of the time.

 

My XR doesnt power on, can I use the XRV kit? 

- Yes, as long as your battery pack is healthy, you can test your battery pack with a multimeter, it must have more than 40V.

 

Can I use my original light bars?

- Nope, we supply our own lightbars included in the kit, which is a lot brighter than OEM ones.

 

Can I use my XR's stock bms?

- Yes, it will need some modification to solder a thick wire to bypass bms, we recommend you to just use the BMS we provided.

 

My Pint has a aftermarket battery pack, can I use the XRV?

-Yes, as long as your aftermarket battery pack works on the original BMS, it will work with the XRV

 -CBXR IS SUPPORTED

-20S2P cells are supported but you will need a new bms from 3rd parties like fungineer, and potentialy need some soldering to replace the plugs. 

Is the BMS smart? Can I monitor my cell level?

-Nope, it is a charge only BMS, it does a good job balance and charge your battery safely, it also has individual cell balancing indicator, if the light shows blue, that means that group of cell is balancing itself.
